Description

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative detection of CADPRH/CD38 in rat samples, with reactivity limited to rat-derived specimens. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout and accepts a broad range of sample matrices, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. CADPRH/CD38 is implicated in cellular signalling, calcium homeostasis, immune responses and inflammatory processes, and dysregulation of the protein has been linked to autoimmune disorders and cancer, supporting its use as a biomarker for studying disease pathogenesis and therapeutic targets.

Reported performance specifications include a sensitivity of 1.875 ng/mL and a working range of 3.125-200 ng/mL. Linearity testing at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions gave recoveries of 87-95%, 85-100%, and 86-98% for serum (n = 5), 83-100%, 81-88%, and 86-103% for EDTA plasma (n = 5), and 85-101%, 82-95%, and 82-98% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spiking recovery averaged 95% for serum (range 88-104%, n = 5), 91% for EDTA plasma (range 90-102%, n = 5), and 93% for heparin plasma (range 87-105%, n = 5).

Unopened kits are stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months. The workflow includes reagent equilibration to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate colour development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm immediately after stop solution. The target corresponds to UniProt entry Q64244 and is also known by synonyms including ADP-ribosyl cyclase 1, cyclic ADP-ribose hydrolase 1, and CD38 molecule.
