Rat CA9 (Carbonic anhydrase 9) ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the quantitative measurement of Carbonic anhydrase 9 (CA9) in rat samples. Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric readout, the kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It is shipped on ice packs and is intended for research use only.

The assay offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Linearity has been demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples (n = 5), and recovery across the same matrices falls within 88–103%.

CA9, also referred to as carbonic anhydrase IX, is an enzyme involved in pH regulation. Aberrant CA9 expression has been implicated in tumour growth, cell migration and invasion, making it a valuable biomarker for studying cancer biology and the development of targeted therapies.
