Rat CA1/Carbonic Anhydrase I ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's Sandwich ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of rat CA1 (Carbonic Anhydrase I) in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format in which a target-specific antibody is pre-coated onto the wells of a 96-well microplate; bound analyte is detected with a biotinylated detection antibody and HRP-conjugated streptavidin (SABC), with TMB substrate producing a colour change read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.

Stated performance figures include a detection range of 7.813–500 pg/mL and a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL. Spike-and-recovery has been validated across serum (85–105%, average 96%), EDTA plasma (90–93%, average 92%) and heparin plasma (85–105%, average 98%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 86–103%, 91–100% and 92–105% for serum; 87–99%, 91–98% and 82–93% for EDTA plasma; and 82–99%, 80–98% and 80–98% for heparin plasma. A validated Bradford Reagent is included for total protein quantification and sample normalisation. Storage is 2–8 °C with a stated shelf life of 12 months.
