Rat C5a/Complement C5a ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay developed for the accurate measurement of C5a/Complement C5a in rat samples. The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid sample types.

Quoted performance specifications include a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a working range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 95-104%, 83-101% and 84-99% for serum; 92-105%, 82-89% and 81-100% for EDTA plasma; and 93-105%, 88-99% and 82-99% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges and averages are 85-100% (95%) for serum, 86-105% (99%) for EDTA plasma, and 87-102% (94%) for heparin plasma.

The assay is intended for research into the complement system, inflammation, immune responses and related disease states. According to the manufacturer, kit components should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
