Rat Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 1A/BMPR-1A ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate and precise detection of Bone Morphogenetic Protein Receptor 1A (BMPR-1A) in rat samples, this sandwich-format, double-antibody colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie offers high sensitivity and specificity for research use. BMPR-1A is a key receptor in the bone morphogenetic protein signalling pathway, which regulates cell growth, differentiation, and bone formation, and its dysregulation has been implicated in skeletal disorders and cancer.

Performance specifications include a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and an assay range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with the kit stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity (n=5) at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 is 88-98%, 90-102% and 86-97% for serum; 82-95%, 83-98% and 84-100% for EDTA plasma; and 83-99%, 83-96% and 80-93% for heparin plasma. Recovery (n=5) is 89-103% (average 95%) for serum, 89-102% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 86-101% (average 92%) for heparin plasma.

The assay procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating samples and standards on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labelled detection antibody with a 60-minute incubation at 37°C, binding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes, developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and measuring absorbance at 450 nm after stopping the reaction. The kit contains a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample/antibody/SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual.
