Rat BNP/Brain Natriuretic Peptide ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format kit designed for the quantitative measurement of Brain Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in rat samples. BNP is a hormone secreted by the heart in response to increased cardiac stretching and pressure, and elevated levels are commonly seen in heart failure and other cardiac conditions, making it a key biomarker for monitoring and diagnosing these conditions.

The kit is reactive with rat samples and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It offers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a standard range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, and the components should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been demonstrated across serum (85-103%, 87-105%, 91-103% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively), EDTA plasma (85-101%, 82-101%, 84-86%), and heparin plasma (80-99%, 80-98%, 80-99%). Recovery ranges were 93-104% for serum (average 99%), 95-103% for EDTA plasma (average 100%), and 85-105% for heparin plasma (average 92%).
