Rat BMP7 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA (Double Antibody) kit is designed for the precise measurement of Bone Morphogenetic Protein 7 (BMP7) in rat-derived samples. The colorimetric assay is reactive with rat and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit has a stated sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a detection range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity data are reported for serum (n = 5) at 85–102% (1:2), 84–101% (1:4) and 81–87% (1:8); EDTA plasma (n = 5) at 87–98%, 82–100% and 81–93%; and heparin plasma (n = 5) at 93–100%, 87–98% and 84–93%. Recovery averages are 91% for serum (range 87–97%), 94% for EDTA plasma (range 86–103%) and 98% for heparin plasma (range 95–103%). Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Target synonyms listed include BMP-7, OP1 and Osteogenic Protein-1 (Uniprot Q9R228). Detection uses a biotin-labelled antibody and HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) chemistry with TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm after addition of stop solution.
