Rat Bile salt sulfotransferase/St2a1 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Bile salt sulfotransferase (St2a1) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a colorimetric readout developed with TMB substrate, and reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity for dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 is 86-104% in serum, 85-102% in EDTA plasma, and 86-105% in heparin plasma. Recovery averages 96% in serum, 95% in EDTA plasma and 96% in heparin plasma. ST2A1 plays a role in bile salt metabolism and bile acid homeostasis, and its dysregulation has been linked to liver diseases, making this kit a relevant tool for metabolism research.

The workflow starts by equilibrating reagents to room temperature, followed by a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody incubation, 30 minutes of HRP-streptavidin binding, 10-20 minutes of TMB colour development in the dark, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after addition of stop solution. Kit components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody dilution buffer, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer and plate sealer.
