Rat BID/ BID ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the precise measurement of BID (BH3 Interacting Domain Death Agonist) levels in rat samples. BID is a key regulator of apoptosis, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, autoimmune disorders, and neurodegenerative conditions, making this kit a valuable tool for cell death research. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The assay uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL, with a measuring range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8; n=5) was 90-104%, 87-101%, and 81-97% for serum; 92-101%, 83-100%, and 89-97% for EDTA plasma; and 87-104%, 91-99%, and 81-91% for heparin plasma. Reported recovery ranges were 86-97% (average 93%) for serum, 94-103% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 86-104% (average 95%) for heparin plasma. The associated Uniprot ID is Q9JLT6.

The assay protocol involves a primary incubation step at 37°C for 90 minutes to allow antigen binding after loading standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate. Detection antibody binding is performed at 37°C for 60 minutes, followed by HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes. Color development with TMB substrate proceeds in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance is read at 450 nm after stop solution addition. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
