Rat bFGF/FGF2/BFGF/FGF2 ELISA Kit

A sandwich double-antibody ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of rat bFGF/FGF2. The kit supports serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric detection workflow. Standards and diluted samples are incubated on a pre-coated microplate so the target analyte binds the immobilized capture antibody. A biotinylated detection antibody directed to a separate epitope is then added to form a sandwich complex, followed by HRP-conjugated Streptavidin and TMB substrate. The reaction is stopped with an acidic solution and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with an assay range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) was 86-103% at 1:2, 91-100% at 1:4, and 87-95% at 1:8 dilution; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 83-94%, 88-101%, and 87-99%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 81-98%, 87-99%, and 80-96%. Spike-and-recovery across the same matrices averaged 95% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma, and 96% for heparin plasma. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
