Rat Beta-secretase 1/BACE1 ELISA Kit

BACE1 is an enzyme involved in the proteolytic processing of amyloid precursor protein, and the kit is intended for research into Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative disorders. Listed synonyms for the protein include ASP2, Aspartyl protease 2, APP beta-secretase, BACEAsp 2, beta-site amyloid beta A4 precursor protein-cleaving enzyme, Beta-site amyloid precursor protein cleaving enzyme 1, and Beta-site APP.

Validated recovery in serum (n = 5) averaged 97% (range 86–99%), in EDTA plasma (n = 5) averaged 93% (range 85–98%), and in heparin plasma (n = 5) averaged 97% (range 88–104%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions was 86–105% in serum, 85–101% in EDTA plasma, and 82–101% in heparin plasma. Unopened kit components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
