Rat beta-NGF/Beta nerve growth factor ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of beta nerve growth factor (beta-NGF) in rat samples. The double-antibody sandwich assay uses colorimetric detection and is intended for research into this neurotrophic factor, which supports the growth, maintenance and survival of nerve cells and is associated with neurodegenerative diseases, developmental disorders and nerve injuries.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate and other liquid samples. The assay has a reported sensitivity of 23.438 pg/mL and a working range of 39.063–2500 pg/mL. Linearity has been characterised in serum (87–98% at 1:2, 85–97% at 1:4, 81–95% at 1:8), EDTA plasma (87–98% / 86–97% / 84–100%) and heparin plasma (89–105% / 84–97% / 81–99%). Recovery in serum averages 99% (range 93–104%), in EDTA plasma 91% (87–98%) and in heparin plasma 98% (92–104%). Kit components should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, and the target protein is annotated under UniProt P25427.
