Rat BDH1/D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase mitochondrial ELISA Kit

This colorimetric Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is intended for the quantitative measurement of BDH1 (D-beta-hydroxybutyrate dehydrogenase, mitochondrial) in rat samples. The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, and the procedure relies on a double-antibody sandwich design with a TMB-based colorimetric read at 450 nm.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. BDH1 is a mitochondrial enzyme involved in the metabolism of ketone bodies, specifically D-beta-hydroxybutyrate, and dysregulation of its activity has been linked to metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity, as well as neurological conditions including Alzheimer's disease. Components are intended for storage at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Linearity has been characterised on serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions. Average recoveries were 98% for serum, 96% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma.
