Rat BAX ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of the Bax protein in rat samples. Bax is described as a key player in apoptosis, helping to regulate programmed cell death, and dysregulation of Bax has been implicated in diseases including cancer and neurodegenerative disorders.

The kit uses a Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody format with colorimetric detection, a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL, and a range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Absorbance is measured at 450 nm following TMB substrate development. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity for serum ranges from 85–105%, EDTA plasma from 82–100%, and heparin plasma from 80–95% across dilution factors. Recovery ranges are 90–105% for serum, 89–103% for EDTA plasma, and 91–104% for heparin plasma. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate and follows a procedure that includes incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding, HRP-streptavidin binding, and TMB color development.
