Rat BAK1/BCL2-antagonist/killer 1 isoform 1 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of BAK1 isoform 1 in rat samples, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a colorimetric detection method and a double-antibody configuration. The assay accepts a broad range of liquid sample types, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples, making it suited to diverse research workflows studying apoptosis and cell death mechanisms. BAK1 is a key regulator of apoptosis, acting through the intrinsic pathway by promoting mitochondrial outer membrane permeabilization, and its dysregulation has been linked to diseases such as cancer.

The kit delivers a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma, with serum showing 92–100% at 1:2, 80–95% at 1:4, and 87–95% at 1:8; EDTA plasma 84–101%, 81–100%, and 85–102% across the same dilutions; and heparin plasma 86–101%, 88–99%, and 83–95%. Recovery averages 98% for serum (range 88–101%), 99% for EDTA plasma (range 95–101%), and 96% for heparin plasma (range 90–101%). Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C, where they remain stable for 12 months.
