Rat AVPR1b/Vasopressin V1b receptor ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA for the quantitative detection of rat AVPR1b (Vasopressin V1b receptor). The AVPR1B receptor mediates the biological effects of vasopressin, a hormone involved in regulating water balance, blood pressure, and stress response, and its dysregulation has been linked to mood disorders and neuroendocrine abnormalities, making it a valuable biomarker for research in these areas.

It is reactive with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The procedure involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding stop solution. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Reported linearity values (n = 5) for serum are 85-104% at 1:2, 89-97% at 1:4 and 80-95% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma 88-103%, 89-100% and 90-99%; and for heparin plasma 87-102%, 93-101% and 80-95%. Recovery ranges are 86-105% for serum (average 97%), 88-100% for EDTA plasma (average 93%), and 87-105% for heparin plasma (average 96%). The associated UniProt entry is P48974.
