Rat Atrial natriuretic peptide-converting enzyme (Corin) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA kit designed for the quantitative measurement of rat Atrial natriuretic peptide-converting enzyme (Corin), also referred to as Pro-ANP-converting enzyme. The assay is reactive with rat samples and is supplied for research use only.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Detection is colorimetric, with a detection range of 0.156-10ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.061ng/mL. Specificity is directed against natural and recombinant rat Atrial natriuretic peptide-converting enzyme (UniProt Q80YN4). Functionally, corin is a serine-type endopeptidase that proteolytically converts the non-functional propeptide NPPA into the active hormone, supporting blood pressure regulation in the heart and promoting natriuresis, diuresis and vasodilation; it may also process pro-NPPB (B-type natriuretic peptide) and act as a regulator of sodium reabsorption in the kidney. A soluble 180 kDa fragment is secreted following cleavage by ADAM10.
