Rat Arginase/ARG ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA using the double-antibody method, this Assay Genie kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of arginase (ARG) in rat samples. The assay has a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a measuring range of 0.781–50 ng/mL, with absorbance read at 450 nm following TMB-based color development.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported linearity for serum (n = 5) is 94–100% (1:2), 89–98% (1:4) and 80–98% (1:8); for EDTA plasma (n = 5), 86–101%, 87–101% and 90–98%; and for heparin plasma (n = 5), 93–103%, 82–86% and 80–99%. Recovery ranges are 90–97% (serum, average 94%), 85–105% (EDTA plasma, average 97%) and 90–103% (heparin plasma, average 96%).

Arginase is a urea-cycle enzyme that converts arginine to ornithine and urea and has been implicated in cardiovascular, metabolic and inflammatory disease research. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody with HRP-streptavidin (SABC) and TMB substrate in a sequential incubation protocol at 37°C.
