Rat ARG1 (Arginase-1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of arginase-1 (ARG1) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The double-antibody sandwich assay format delivers a reported sensitivity of 1.5 ng/mL across a detection range of 2.5-160 ng/mL. Arginase-1 is a urea-cycle enzyme that hydrolyses arginine to ornithine and urea, and its dysregulation has been associated with asthma, cardiovascular disease and cancer, making it a relevant biomarker for immunology research.

Validation data include linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions (e.g. serum 1:2: 87-101%, n=5; EDTA plasma 1:4: 83-95%, n=5; heparin plasma 1:8: 90-98%, n=5) and spike-recovery values averaging 94% for serum (range 87-103%), 96% for EDTA plasma (89-104%) and 98% for heparin plasma (93-103%). The workflow involves equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, loading standards/samples/controls on the pre-coated plate, incubating at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotinylated detection antibody (37°C, 60 minutes), adding HRP-streptavidin SABC (37°C, 30 minutes), developing with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, stopping the reaction and reading absorbance at 450 nm. Kit components are stored at 2-8°C protected from direct light, with the microplate and lyophilised standard suitable for storage at -20°C for up to 12 months.
