Rat Aquaporin-9 (Aqp9) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this Sandwich ELISA for the quantitative detection of rat Aquaporin-9 (Aqp9), also known as Aquaglyceroporin-9 or AQP-9. The colorimetric assay is reactive with rat samples and validated for serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with specificity for natural and recombinant rat Aquaporin-9. Aquaporin-9 is a multi-pass membrane protein (UniProt P56627) that forms a channel with broad specificity, mediating passage of non-charged solutes including carbamides, polyols, purines, pyrimidines, urea, and glycerol in a phloretin- and mercury-sensitive manner.

The assay has a detection range of 0.78-50ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.421ng/mL, with an intra-assay CV of 4.9% and an inter-assay CV of 9.1%. Linearity has been characterised at 1:2, 1:4, 1:8, and 1:16 dilutions in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma samples (N=5 each). Reported recovery is 104% on average (range 98-110%) for serum and 106% on average (range 100-112%) for plasma. The kit is intended for research use only.
