Rat Aquaporin-5 (Aqp5) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Aquaporin-5 (AQP5) in rat samples. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids, with specificity for both natural and recombinant rat Aquaporin-5.

According to the manufacturer's specifications, the kit has a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.161 ng/mL. Aquaporin-5 forms a water-specific channel and is localized to the apical cell membrane. It has been implicated in the generation of saliva, tears and pulmonary secretions and is required for TRPV4 activation by hypotonicity. The product is intended for research use only.
