Rat ApoE (Apolipoprotein E) CLIA Kit (RTES00616)

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich-CLIA chemiluminescence immunoassay is designed for the in vitro quantitative determination of Apolipoprotein E (ApoE) in rat serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay uses a micro CLIA plate pre-coated with an antibody specific to Rat ApoE. Standards or samples are added to the plate wells, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Rat ApoE and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After washing, a substrate solution is added; the resulting Relative light unit (RLU) value, measured on a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer, is positively associated with Rat ApoE concentration and can be quantified against a standard curve.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 0.38 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.63-40 ng/mL, with a total assay time of 3.5h. The recommended sample volume is 100 μL. The kit specifically recognises Rat ApoE in samples, with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Rat ApoE and analogues reported. Both intra-assay and inter-assay coefficients of variation are stated as less than 15%.
