Rat APOA2/Apolipoprotein A-II ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides this Sandwich ELISA (Double Antibody) for the quantitative measurement of Apolipoprotein A-II in rat samples. The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples and is intended for research in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular health.

Reported sensitivity is 3.75 ng/mL with a detection range of 6.25-400 ng/mL. The kit should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. Linearity has been evaluated: serum (n=5) showed 85-102% at 1:2, 87-104% at 1:4, and 91-103% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) showed 82-99% at 1:2, 84-98% at 1:4, and 82-100% at 1:8; heparin plasma (n=5) showed 80-100% at 1:2, 81-97% at 1:4, and 87-98% at 1:8. Recovery was documented as 86-102% (average 94%) for serum, 87-104% (average 98%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-103% (average 91%) for heparin plasma.

The protocol follows a sandwich ELISA workflow: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, then incubate standards, samples, and blanks on the pre-coated plate at 37°C for 90 minutes. Add biotin-labeled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes, then add HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes. Develop color with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, add stop solution, and read absorbance at 450 nm immediately.
