Rat AOX1/Aldehyde oxidase ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA developed by Assay Genie for the quantitative detection of rat Aldehyde oxidase 1 (AOX1). The assay uses a colorimetric TMB-based readout measured at 450 nm and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL. Linearity in serum (n=5) was 90–105% at 1:2, 89–103% at 1:4, and 86–102% at 1:8; in EDTA plasma (n=5) 83–99%, 82–100%, and 90–101%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 83–95%, 81–96%, and 84–100%. Recovery averaged 99% for serum (92–105%), 96% for EDTA plasma (85–103%), and 97% for heparin plasma (85–104%). Unopened kit components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Aldehyde oxidase 1 is a key enzyme in the metabolism of drugs and xenobiotics and in the oxidation of aldehydes, and is an important biomarker for studying drug metabolism and drug–drug interactions. The kit provides a quantitative tool for investigating AOX1 levels in physiological and pathological contexts.
