Rat Anti-Type II Collagen Antibody/Anti-CIIAb ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of type II collagen-specific antibodies in rat samples. It uses a double antigen detection format with a colorimetric readout, and is positioned for research into autoimmune conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, where anti-type II collagen antibodies are relevant biomarkers.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 0.094 ug/mL and an assay range of 0.156–10 ug/mL. The kit is validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Recovery data (n=5 per matrix) are 86–100% (average 94%) for serum, 89–98% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 89–97% (average 93%) for heparin plasma. Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions spans 82–105% across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The protocol involves a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, biotin-labeled antigen binding for 60 minutes at 37°C, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes at 37°C, TMB color development, and absorbance reading at 450 nm.
