Rat Angiopoietin 2/ANG2 ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of Angiopoietin-2 (Ang2) levels in rat samples. Using a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection, the kit quantifies Ang2 in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Angiopoietin-2 plays a central role in angiogenesis, the formation of new blood vessels, and regulates vascular permeability and inflammation, making it a key target in research on cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions.

Performance characteristics include a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL and a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL. The assay workflow proceeds as follows: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, load standards and samples onto the pre-coated plate and incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes, add biotin-labeled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes, apply HRP-Streptavidin conjugate for 30 minutes, develop with TMB substrate in the dark for 10-20 minutes, add stop solution, and read absorbance at 450 nm. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C, with a shelf life of 12 months.

Linearity has been demonstrated in serum (89-102%, 90-96%, 90-103% at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions respectively), EDTA plasma (89-97%, 84-98%, 82-97%), and heparin plasma (83-100%, 84-96%, 82-96%). Recovery averaged 95% in serum, 90% in EDTA plasma, and 95% in heparin plasma. The kit is intended for cardiovascular and angiogenesis research in rats.
