Angiopoietin-1 (ANG1) is a secreted glycoprotein ligand for the endothelial Tie2 receptor and a central regulator of vascular maturation, vessel remodeling, and pericyte recruitment. Assay Genie's Rat Angiopoietin 1 ELISA Kit provides a quantitative immunoassay for measuring endogenous ANG1 protein in rat-derived biological specimens, supporting studies in angiogenesis, cardiovascular pathophysiology, wound healing, and tumor microvascular biology.

The kit is configured as a complete reagent set for in vitro research use only, with all buffers, standards, and detection components supplied in pre-measured vials. Prepared samples and reconstituted standards are added to the coated microplate wells, where immobilized capture antibody binds circulating ANG1; detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, and substrate solution are added in sequence to generate a measurable colorimetric signal proportional to ANG1 concentration in each well.

Intended sample types span serum-derived preparations, plasma-derived preparations, tissue homogenates, and cell culture supernatant from primary endothelial or vascular-supporting cell populations. Researchers studying Tie2 pathway activation, diabetic microvascular complications, ischemic tissue recovery, or anti-angiogenic therapeutic screening commonly apply this kit to longitudinal samples from rodent disease models.

Reconstituted reagents should be stored frozen in single-use aliquots to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles, while unused microplate strips remain sealed with desiccant at refrigerated temperatures until first use. Standard-curve preparation, recommended dilution ranges for serum and tissue matrices, wash-buffer instructions, and plate-layout templates are supplied in the included protocol booklet.
