Rat alpha Fetoprotein ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of alpha-fetoprotein in rat samples. The kit is reactive with rat and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with a reported detection range of 0.313–20 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL. Absorbance is read at 450 nm following TMB color development.

Stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, the assay uses a double-antibody sandwich format with HRP-streptavidin detection. Linearity and recovery have been characterised in serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Because alpha-fetoprotein is a key marker of liver development and is associated with conditions such as liver cancer and fetal abnormalities, the kit supports research into liver biology and related pathologies in rats.
