Rat Alpha Crosslaps/alpha-CTx ELISA Kit

A competitive ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Alpha Crosslaps (alpha-CTx) in rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The plate is coated with antigen, and detection is colorimetric with absorbance read at 450 nm.

Alpha Crosslaps (Alpha-CTX) is a key biomarker of bone resorption, providing insight into bone metabolism and turnover. The kit supports research into osteoporosis, osteopenia and other skeletal disorders and is intended for work in bone biology, orthopaedics and pharmacology. Sensitivity is reported at 56.25 pg/mL with a standard range of 93.75-6000 pg/mL. Linearity was tested at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions for serum (87-104%, 89-96%, 90-98%), EDTA plasma (92-97%, 90-101%, 90-100%) and heparin plasma (88-104%, 83-94%, 84-100%). Recovery ranges across the same three matrices are 86-103%, 87-102% and 95-102% respectively, with an average of 99% in each. The kit is stored sealed at 2-8°C and should not be cryopreserved.
