Rat Allograft inflammatory factor 1 (Aif1) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Allograft inflammatory factor 1 (AIF1) in rat samples. The assay uses a colorimetric ELISA detection method and is reactive with rat samples only.

The kit detects natural and recombinant rat AIF1 in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, with a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL. AIF1, also known by the synonyms Ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1, MRF-1, Microglia response factor, AIF-1, Iba1, and Mrf1, is described as an actin-binding protein that enhances membrane ruffling and RAC activation, enhances the actin-bundling activity of LCP1, binds calcium, and plays roles in RAC signaling, phagocytosis, macrophage activation and function, proliferation of vascular smooth muscle cells and T-lymphocytes, lymphocyte migration, and vascular inflammation. As a biomarker involved in inflammatory and immune responses, it is relevant to research into autoimmune disorders, neuroinflammatory diseases, and organ transplant rejection.
