Rat Aldosterone Synthase (ALDOS) ELISA Kit

CYP11B2 is the mitochondrial cytochrome P450 isozyme that catalyzes the terminal hydroxylation steps that convert 11-deoxycorticosterone to aldosterone within the zona glomerulosa of the adrenal cortex. Quantifying this enzyme supports research on mineralocorticoid biosynthesis, electrolyte homeostasis, the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, and models of primary hyperaldosteronism.
