Rat ALDH2/Mitochondrial Aldehyde Dehydrogenase  ELISA Kit

Designed for the accurate measurement of mitochondrial aldehyde dehydrogenase (ALDH2) in rat samples, this colorimetric ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a sandwich, double-antibody format to deliver high-sensitivity detection. It reacts specifically with rat ALDH2 (Uniprot P11884) and accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity has been validated across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 in serum (87–103%, 90–101%, 80–97%), EDTA plasma (86–93%, 83–97%, 85–93%) and heparin plasma (88–105%, 84–100%, 81–91%). Recovery in serum averages 94% (range 85–104%), in EDTA plasma 96% (range 88–104%) and in heparin plasma 95% (range 86–103%). Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

ALDH2 plays a key role in alcohol metabolism, oxidative stress response and detoxification processes, and its dysregulation has been implicated in cardiovascular, hepatic and neurological conditions, making the kit a useful research tool for studies of disease pathogenesis and potential therapeutic strategies.
