The ALCAM target, also designated CD166, is a transmembrane glycoprotein of the immunoglobulin superfamily that mediates homophilic and heterophilic adhesion between leukocytes, endothelial cells, and neurons. Researchers commonly deploy this Assay Genie immunoassay to investigate soluble ALCAM shedding in immunology, neurobiology, and oncology studies, including T-cell activation, dendritic cell migration, and tumor invasion pathways. The kit is supplied as a microplate format with pre-coated capture antibody, lyophilised recombinant standards, biotinylated detection reagent, and streptavidin-HRP conjugate. Each well receives a 50 uL sample volume pipetted in duplicate, with serial standard dilutions generating a quantitative calibration curve.
