Rat ALAD ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is designed for the precise measurement of ALAD (delta-aminolevulinic acid dehydratase) levels in rat samples, using a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The kit is suitable for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. ALAD is an enzyme involved in heme biosynthesis, and its dysregulation has been associated with lead poisoning and porphyria, making it a relevant biomarker for studies in metabolism, biochemistry, and toxicology. Synonyms reported for this target include Alad, ALADH, and Porphobilinogen synthase.

The assay offers a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and a standard range of 15.625-1000 pg/mL. Validated linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 is reported as 88-101%, 92-101%, and 85-97% for serum (n=5); 85-99%, 84-97%, and 83-94% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 81-99%, 87-99%, and 81-93% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges are reported as 87-105% (average 97%) for serum, 86-102% (average 95%) for EDTA plasma, and 85-105% (average 92%) for heparin plasma. The procedure uses a pre-coated microplate with TMB substrate development and absorbance read at 450 nm. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for up to 12 months.
