Rat AIF1 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of rat AIF1 (Aifm1, apoptosis-inducing factor 1, mitochondrial; UniProt Q9JM53), supporting research into mitochondrial biology and programmed cell death. The assay uses a double-antibody configuration with a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin and a TMB substrate read at 450 nm.

Sample handling guidance from the manufacturer: serum should be allowed to clot and centrifuged at 1000 × g for 20 minutes; plasma is collected with anticoagulant and centrifuged at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C. Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 88–104%, 86–92% and 82–97% for serum (n = 5); 92–105%, 82–100% and 87–100% for EDTA plasma (n = 5); and 86–105%, 88–98% and 80–99% for heparin plasma (n = 5). Spike-and-recovery averages are 91% (serum), 99% (EDTA plasma) and 94% (heparin plasma), with corresponding ranges of 85–100%, 87–105% and 87–105%. Reagents should be stored at 2–8°C, protected from direct light, and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.
