Rat AGRP/Agouti-related protein ELISA Kit

Designed for rat research applications, this Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie enables quantitative measurement of Agouti-related protein (AGRP), a regulator of appetite and energy metabolism implicated in body weight control and in conditions such as obesity and metabolic disorders.

The kit uses a double-antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection and is suited to serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with a working range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 has been demonstrated for serum (85–102%, 87–105%, 97–102%), EDTA plasma (86–100%, 82–98%, 85–100%), and heparin plasma (80–94%, 80–100%, 80–98%), with recovery averages of 92% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma, and 97% for heparin plasma. The kit is intended for storage at 2–8°C for 12 months.

Workflow covers primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance reading at 450 nm after stop solution addition.
