Rat Adropin ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of adropin in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Adropin is a protein implicated in regulating energy metabolism and cardiovascular function, making it a useful biomarker for research into conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Synonyms associated with the target include AD, ENHO, and Energy homeostasis-associated protein.

The kit uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich detection method with a sensitivity of 9.375 pg/mL and an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL. Reported linearity falls between 80% and 104% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, and recovery averages 92% for serum, 95% for EDTA plasma, and 91% for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The workflow follows six steps: reagent and plate preparation; primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotinylated detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes; HRP-streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes; TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.
