Rat ADRA1A/Alpha-1A adrenergic receptor ELISA Kit

This Assay Genie sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of ADRA1A (Alpha-1A Adrenergic Receptor) in rat samples, using a double-antibody format with a colorimetric readout. The ADRA1A receptor plays a crucial role in the sympathetic nervous system, regulating blood pressure, smooth muscle contraction, and neurotransmitter release, and its dysregulation has been associated with hypertension, heart failure, and neurological disorders.

The assay is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with serum values of 88–100%, 87–95%, and 82–100% respectively. Mean recovery was 92% in serum (range 86–104%), 93% in EDTA plasma (range 92–101%), and 95% in heparin plasma (range 87–103%).

Reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months, with the microplate strips and lyophilized standard also suitable for 12-month storage at -20°C. The workflow involves equilibrating reagents and loading standards, samples and controls onto the pre-coated plate, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after stop solution is added.
