Rat Adipolin (FAM132A) ELISA Kit

A double-antibody Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie using colorimetric detection for the quantitative measurement of adipolin (FAM132A) in rat samples. The assay delivers a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL across a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, and is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Adipolin is described as a critical adipokine involved in the regulation of metabolism and energy balance, with roles in glucose and lipid metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and inflammation. Dysregulation of adipolin levels has been linked to obesity, diabetes, and other metabolic disorders, making the analyte of interest as a biomarker in metabolic disease research.

The protocol uses a TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm and includes plate and reagent preparation, a primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, and HRP-streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes. Color development is carried out in the dark for 10–20 minutes before the stop solution is added and absorbance is measured immediately.
