Description

Designed for the quantitative measurement of ADH1 (Alcohol Dehydrogenase 1) in rat samples, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format and reaches a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL across an assay range of 0.625–40 ng/mL. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, with Uniprot entry P06757.

Validated linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is reported as: serum 99–105% / 87–99% / 90–98%; EDTA plasma 83–98% / 83–101% / 82–99%; and heparin plasma 81–100% / 81–95% / 80–92%. Spike-and-recovery across the same three matrices gives ranges of 85–102% (average 94%) for serum, 86–100% (average 93%) for EDTA plasma, and 85–105% (average 94%) for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for up to 12 months.

The procedure involves reagent and plate preparation, a 37°C primary incubation for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. Listed synonyms for the target include Adh1, Adh-1, Alcohol dehydrogenase A subunit, and Alcohol dehydrogenase 1.
