Rat Aco2/Aconitate hydratase ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Aco2 (aconitate hydratase, mitochondrial; Uniprot Q9ER34) in rat samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other biological fluids. The double-antibody sandwich format uses a capture antibody pre-coated onto a 96-well plate, with a biotin-conjugated antibody as the detection reagent and HRP-Streptavidin for signal generation via TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 0.375 ng/mL and a working range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Linearity and spike-and-recovery have been evaluated on serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma matrices. Aconitate hydratase catalyses the conversion of citrate to isocitrate within the tricarboxylic acid (Krebs) cycle, and altered expression has been linked to metabolic disorders and cancer, making it a useful biomarker for related research.

Reagents are stored at 2-8°C, with the lyophilized standard and microplate strips also suitable for up to 12 months at -20°C, and the kit is designated for research use only.
