Rat Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1/ACACA ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double antibody format and colorimetric detection to quantitatively measure rat Acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (ACACA) in serum and plasma samples, with additional compatibility for cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 9.375 pg/mL with an assay range of 15.625–1000 pg/mL, and reagents are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

ACACA is an enzyme involved in fatty acid synthesis and metabolic regulation, and the kit is grouped under the metabolism research area. Linearity at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions is reported as 95–105%, 87–105%, and 91–104% for serum (n=5); 85–96%, 82–96%, and 89–98% for EDTA plasma (n=5); and 81–98%, 94–98%, and 81–99% for heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges and averages are 87–104% (97%) for serum (n=5), 85–99% (93%) for EDTA plasma (n=5), and 85–103% (93%) for heparin plasma (n=5).

The procedure includes equilibrating reagents and TMB substrate to room temperature, incubating standards and samples at 37°C for 90 minutes, adding biotin-labeled detection antibody with a 37°C incubation for 60 minutes, adding HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) for 30 minutes at 37°C, developing colour with TMB substrate in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and reading absorbance at 450 nm after adding the stop solution.
