Rat ACE/Angiotensin Converting Enzyme 1 ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of Angiotensin-Converting Enzyme 1 (ACE) in rat samples. The kit is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric detection method based on a double-antibody sandwich format. ACE is a key component of the renin-angiotensin system, regulating blood pressure and electrolyte balance, and its dysregulation has been linked to cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, and kidney disorders.

The assay has a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Linearity for serum (n=5) is 89–104% at 1:2, 83–101% at 1:4, and 85–100% at 1:8; for EDTA plasma (n=5), 86–102% at 1:2, 87–99% at 1:4, and 80–95% at 1:8; and for heparin plasma (n=5), 85–103% at 1:2, 84–96% at 1:4, and 87–100% at 1:8. Recovery averages 93% for serum, 92% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and is intended for research use in studying ACE physiology and the effects of ACE inhibitors in rat models.
