Rat AADAT/Kynurenine/alpha-aminoadipate aminotransferase ELISA Kit

This Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is a double-antibody assay designed for the precise detection of AADAT (Kynurenine Alpha-Aminoadipate Aminotransferase) in rat samples. The colorimetric kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months. AADAT is an enzyme involved in tryptophan metabolism via the kynurenine pathway, and its dysregulation has been implicated in neurological and metabolic conditions, making its measurement relevant to disease progression and therapeutic research.

The protocol uses TMB substrate with absorbance read at 450 nm, involving a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotinylated detection antibody step, a 30-minute HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding step, and color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes. Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) was 93-104%, 95-97%, and 91-94% for serum; 88-102%, 91-99%, and 90-98% for EDTA plasma; and 88-105%, 90-99%, and 90-94% for heparin plasma. Recovery ranges were 89-100% for serum (average 96%), 90-101% for EDTA plasma (average 95%), and 89-105% for heparin plasma (average 98%).
