The kit is specific for natural and recombinant rat 5-hydroxytryptamine receptor 1B and uses a colorimetric detection method.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.115ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is 3.6% and inter-assay precision is 5.6%.
