Rat 11-Beta-Hydroxysteroid Dehydrogenase Type 1 (HSD11b1) ELISA Kit

An endocrinology-focused immunoassay kit from Assay Genie for quantitative determination of 11-beta-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1 in rat tissue preparations. HSD11B1 is the microsomal oxidoreductase responsible for prereceptor activation of cortisone to cortisol, and altered expression in liver and adipose tissue is associated with rodent models of metabolic syndrome, hepatic steatosis, and glucocorticoid-driven insulin resistance.

The kit is configured to measure the enzyme in tissue homogenates and cell lysates derived from rat samples, supporting studies of local glucocorticoid reactivation rather than circulating hormone levels.
