RAD52 Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A colorimetric, cell-based ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed to detect RAD52 protein levels in cell lysates and culture supernatants. The assay uses a 96-well microplate format read at 450 nm, with a stated dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and is reactive with Human and Mouse samples. The intended sample type is Adherent Cells.

The assay is lysate-free and uses an indirect ELISA format: RAD52 is captured by target-specific primary antibodies and detected with HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies that catalyze a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. An anti-GAPDH monoclonal antibody is included as an internal positive control, and Crystal Violet whole-cell staining is used to normalize absorbance to cell density. The kit can be applied to measure relative RAD52 expression in cultured cells and to evaluate the effects of treatments, inhibitors (e.g. siRNA or chemicals), or activators on RAD52.

RAD52 is a DNA repair protein involved in double-strand break repair and homologous recombination. It belongs to the RAD52/RAD22 family, is phosphorylated by c-Abl, and has a reported molecular weight of 12,943 Da (UniProt P43351; Gene ID: 5893). The kit is stored at 4°C with a stated stability of 6 Months.
