RAD51 (Phospho-Tyr315)Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit

A Colorimetric Cell-Based ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is designed for the accurate detection of phosphorylated RAD51 at tyrosine 315 in cell lysates. RAD51 is a key protein involved in DNA repair and homologous recombination, playing a critical role in maintaining genomic stability, with phosphorylation at tyrosine 315 linked to DNA damage response and repair processes.

This lysate-free, high throughput and sensitive assay detects RAD51 protein phosphorylation and expression profile in cultured cells. It can be used to measure relative amounts of phosphorylated RAD51 and to screen for the effects of treatments, inhibitors (such as siRNA or chemicals), or activators on RAD51 phosphorylation. Qualitative determination is achieved through an indirect ELISA format in which target-specific primary antibodies capture the analyte and HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies bind the Fc region of the primary antibody, with the conjugated HRP catalysing a colorimetric reaction upon substrate addition. A monoclonal antibody specific for human GAPDH is included as an internal positive control for normalising target absorbance values, and a Crystal Violet whole-cell staining step may be used to determine cell density after the colorimetric read.

Reactive with human and mouse samples, the assay is read at 450 nm and has a dynamic range of > 5000 Cells, and is classified within the Epigenetics and Nuclear Signaling research area.
