Rabbit VEGF ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA using a double-antibody format from Assay Genie, designed for the quantitative measurement of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in rabbit samples. VEGF is a key protein involved in angiogenesis, the process of new blood vessel formation, and is essential for cell growth and survival. Its dysregulation has been implicated in diseases such as cancer, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration, making it an important biomarker for disease progression and therapeutic development.

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric readout with TMB substrate measured at 450 nm. Quoted sensitivity is 0.938 pg/mL and the standard range is 1.563-100 pg/mL. Storage is recommended at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions and spike-recovery values are provided for serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. The workflow includes primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding for 30 minutes, and TMB colour development for 10-20 minutes.
