Rabbit uPA/Urokinase-Type Plasminogen Activator ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a sandwich ELISA kit for the quantitative measurement of Urokinase-Type Plasminogen Activator (uPA) in rabbit samples, using a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The assay is designed for the detection of uPA in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Linearity has been validated across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions; for example, serum recovery at 1:2 spans 85-104%, with EDTA plasma at 87-99% and heparin plasma at 88-105%. Average recovery for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma is 98%, 96%, and 97%, respectively. Absorbance is read at 450 nm after TMB substrate development.

uPA is a key enzyme involved in extracellular matrix degradation and cell migration, with roles in tissue remodelling, wound healing, and metastasis. Dysregulation of uPA activity has been linked to diseases including cancer and cardiovascular disorders, supporting its use as a biomarker for disease progression and as a potential therapeutic target. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months and includes a dismountable pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample and antibody dilution buffers, SABC dilution buffer, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual.
